New Photos

Sunday, January 30th, 2005

As I said before I have a excellent view of the city from where I work, so Last week I took my camera to take a few snaps. Lucky enough if was a pretty good day, which is good for January standards. I only managed to get about a dozen taken however I plan to return again and get more at a later date again when the better weather returns. Take a look, they are in the Edinburgh 2 section, last page. Heck here is a link, for the lazy folk. ;)

Forum

Thursday, January 27th, 2005

I have disabled the forum, perhaps only temporarily I still have yet to decide. I took if off line due to the lack of usage. I want to have a wee think to myself whether or not I should just delete it completely, re-jig it with new topics ect (that may start a interest) or maybe just reopen it as it is. to be honest I dont know if its worth while.

Nothing is lost accounts and posts will remain there, even if i re-jig it. any ideas……..

Time for some more Haggis

To A Mouse 1st verse
Wee, sleekit, cow’rin, tim’rous beastie,
O, what a panic’s in thy breastie!
Thou need na start awa sae hasty,
Wi’ bickering brattle!
I wad be laith to rin an’ chase thee,
Wi’ murd’ring pattle!

Address To A Haggis 1st verse
Fair fa’ your honest, sonsie face,
Great chieftain o’ the pudding-race!
Aboon them a’ yet tak your place,
Painch, tripe, or thairm:
Weel are ye wordy o’a grace
As lang’s my arm.

Snowy

Wednesday, January 19th, 2005

I took my camera with me to work yesterday in the hope of catching some photos of the city covered in snow, as I have an excellent view of the city. Unfortunately, 2 seconds after turning the camera on the bloody thing ran out of batteries. Pity there are no shops (that I know of) there, I could not walk to the nearest one given the time I had. :( Snow is gone now, so I dont have any of the shots I hoped for.

I saw Team America last night, pretty funny If you like south park you will like that movie. talking of that here is a link. Not long now :|

Hit n Run

Monday, January 17th, 2005

I got a PC game as a gift at Christmas, The Simpsons hit and Run. I Installed it at the weekend It actually surprised me, I am kinda enjoying it. Strange enough as I should really hate it as its mostly missions behind a car and against the clock. these games I am usually pretty crap at, none the less this one I enjoy. :)

Been pretty quiet recently, new logo perhaps you noticed, I think I will keep the new layout ….. for now ;)

Long Way Round

Saturday, January 15th, 2005

I recently watched the DVD “The Long Way Round” Ewan McGregor & Charley Boorman. They drove through France, Belgium, Germany, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Ukraine, Russia, Kazakhstan, Mongolia, Siberia, Alaska, Canada and three months later they arrived at their final destination, New York City USA. Have to say it was very intresting, more so if you are in to bikes. It has brought back urges I had to travel, hopefully one day something I can fulfil.

I beleve they did this for some charitys, Unicef, Macmillian cancer releif and chas. This made it even more worth while. Through the whole program Ewan and Charley came accross as Genuinely really nice guys, I have more respect for them now

Case Fan

Thursday, January 13th, 2005

I ordered 2 x 80mm Case Fans from Kustom PCs (a company located in Ayr) on Tuesday lunch time, and the wee things came yesterday now that’s pretty fast service. I just got round to installing them, although they dropped the temperature of the CPU a little so far its not what I hoped for, however it will get its real test soon will install Far Cry. 8) Yes I know I am slow at starting games.
