Letter

Tuesday, September 30th, 2003

woke up on Saturday and there it was, a recorded delivery slip the postman delivered it at 8am, He is never usually here before 10am. Needless to say that I missed it and had to wait until Monday to pick the letter up and find out what it was. Slightly irritating, anyway It turned out to be tickets for the Scotland v Lithuania Football game next month, after a while thinking I will probably go to this game all kilted up, photos to follow? …. Probably not. ;)

Champs

Monday, September 29th, 2003

Today I managed to get my hands on a video, one that I have been after for quite a wee while now. Its an old football game from 1967, I think you know what one it is, the one where Scotland beat the then world champions England 3 - 2.

Also Trying to get back to some what normality, another step to there I decided to join a new gym, as I have been gym-less since the Edinburgh Club closed a few months back. Few more things to do but getting there, slow albeit :D

Although I’m only in the early stages of development, I’m aiming to write a full-blooded drama which embraces the Doctor Who heritage, at the same time as introducing the character to a modern audience,” he said. And yet, across the gulf of space, minds immeasurably superior to ours regarded this earth with envious eyes, and slowly and surely, they drew their plans against us. This is From War of the worlds, original radio broadcast was on October 30th, 1938, Good story and produced later the musical score from Jeff Wayne is great.

Look out for the Rubber Ducks, they may be near New York, Iceland perhaps of the coast of Scotland. Rewind to 1992. A Massachusetts-based American toy company had ordered thousands of these plastic bath toys to be made in China. Now they were being shipped across the Pacific to the United States, The ship ran into trouble on the 45th parallel near the International Date Line on the night of 10 January 1992. As a storm raged and the ship tossed and turned, several of the containers it was carrying escaped their moorings and plunged into the ocean. While most remained intact, one split open releasing its haul of 29,000 plastic bath toys into the Pacific. There long journey continues. Read the full Article here Scotsman Article
